NC Section of AAPT at Davidson

The Spring 2000 NCS-AAPT meeting, held March 17-18, was hosted by the Davidson College Physics Department. The featured speakers were Tom Greenslade who spoke on "Learning from the Past: The American 19th Century Physics Course" and Arnold Arons, who spoke on "Teaching energy concepts in introductory physics courses".

 There was a special session at this meeting on innovative curricular development projects in the Carolinas where Dr. Belloni gave an invited talk entitled, "Physlets and Just-in-Time Teaching: From Introductory to Advanced Physics Courses." 

After the meeting, Professor Boye gave a workshop entitled "The Harmonic Series in Music" and Professors Christian and Belloni gave a workshop on Physlets.
