Our experimental results were consistent with theoretical calculations. We should expect large error in using an infinite square well approximation.
The error that does exist results from many other variables that were not taken into consideration (confinement of holes, exciton binding energy, etc).
We theoretically determined the n=2 confinement energy for the 9.8 nm well to be 160 meV. However, kT in this experiment is only about 6meV, so there will be little to no thermal population at this level. As a result, we did not see this peak in the spectrum.
