This next piece of equipment, the Burleigh Spectrum Analyzer System (SA-200-x) was not used in the experiments discussed in this report.  It is, however, an invaluable tool to study the mode structure of a laser's output.  It contains a scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometer, an electronic controller, an optical mount and a beam splitter.  We used it in one experiment to study mode structure of a He-Ne laser. The length of the confocal interferometer cavity was scanned with a piezoelectric crystal.  The laser's signal was passed from the interferometer to the oscilloscope.
