This web page is for my
Physics 200 class here at Davidson College, where I am attempting to program in
Java code. This page is simple because my understanding of the language is
still growing. The above applets are what we as a class have done so
far. Please browse and return often.
Intermediate Lab Experiments:
Applets:
Flag: This Applet is a simple graphics program that I used to get my feet wet.
Linear Equations: This program lets the user enter two equations and the computer will solve them to find an intersection point if one exists.
Lorentz Transformation: This program deals with the theory of relativity. I also learned about inheritance when designing this applet. It takes initial values and transforms them according to Lorentz's equations.
Pendulum: This program introduced me to animation. The applet is a oscillating pendulum that slows down with time and will graph theta vs. time and angular speed vs. time
Laplace Equations: This applet allows the user to draw in positive and negative plates and then watch as the laplace equations work and voltage diffuses. Several different graphs are also available for viewing in different modes and comparison.
Stellar
Evolution (Final Project): I chose to make a
simulation on stellar evolution. This applet is a cultivation of my
programming skill. You can see how dependant a star is on mass to
determine the ending fate. Enjoy!
