The following files are for your entertainment and/or amusement. These are the presentations I've made in Dr. Cline's class.

Project List

Lab 1: Polarization of Light with Nat

Lab 2: Spectroscopy using a Michelson Interferometer.

Partner: Amanda Fleishman

Febuary 7, 1997

Lab 3: Investigation into the Helium Neon Laser and the Fabry-Perot Etalon

Partner: Mike Lassiter

Febuary 21, 1997

Lab4: Determining the Speed of Light Using a Coaxial Cable

Partner: Thomas Wheeler

March 17, 1997

The length of time a signal takes to travel down a coaxial cable can lead to a calculation of the speed of light using the properties of the coaxial cable. First we’ll discuss the properties of the coaxial cable and at the end we’ll use it and the experiment speed of the signal to find the speed of light.

Lab5: Experimenting with a Lock-in Amplifier and a Rubium cell.

Partner: Mike Lassister

April 4, 1997

Final Project: Determining Laser Frequency with a Michelson Interferometer and a Fabry-Perot Etalon

May 2, 1997
