Assessment

The Physics department is in the fourth year of a study of the effectiveness of interactive pedagogies in our introductory and advanced courses.  Just-in-Time Teaching and interactive curricular materials have been used in these classes to actively engage students both inside and outside of the classroom.  We have assessed students’ understanding of mechanics after instruction, and thus far the results are remarkably encouraging.
